PARK CITY, Utah. – Graduate student
Sara Rask finished on the podium for the seventh time this season on Tuesday and led three University of Denver skiing women in the top 10 in alpine slalom on the final day of the 2026 Utah Invitational.
After setting Denver's overall individual wins record on Monday in the RMISA Alpine Qualifier's giant slalom at Utah Olympic Park, Rask placed third behind Colorado's Louison Accambray (1:30.67) and Montana State's Justine Lamontagne (1:31.35) with a total time of 1:31.88.
The Stockholm, Sweden, native has ended on the stand in seven of her eight finishes in 2026 and has earned a medal in 34 of her 51 career races.
Freshman
Cecilia Pizzinato finished in the top 10 for the ninth straight race by placing seventh and fellow rookie
Elisabeth Creighton came in 10th for her third top-10 result of the season.
Senior
Christian Soevik led Denver's men by placing seventh for the second-straight race and picked up his seventh top 10 of the season.
Graduate student
Eirik Kveno was DU's second men's scorer in 17th while senior
Adrian Minde Hunshammer was 24th and classmate
Thomas Hoffman finished 29th. Sophomore
Pietro Motterlini did not race for the second straight day.
Colorado Mountain College's Lucas Ellis picked up his second career victory in the men's event and was joined on the podium by Westminster's Alejandro Tasias Puente in second and Colorado's Filip Wahlqvist in third.

Denver finished fourth at the Utah Invitational with 514 points, 14 behind third-place Montana State (528). Colorado won with 740 points while the host Utes placed second with 614 points. The UU Invite was the final regular-season meet of the season before the teams open the RMISA Championships later this week.
UP NEXT: The 2026 RMISA Championships, which also doubles as the NCAA West Regional, is set to begin on Thursday with alpine giant slalom at Bridger Bowl Ski Area in Bozeman, Montana, while the slalom races will be held on Friday. The Nordic portion of the conference meet was moved to Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, Utah, due to snow conditions at Bozeman's Crosscut Mountain Sports Center and starts on Friday with the 7.5K classic interval start. The 20K freestyle mass start concludes the meet on Saturday.
The alpine group is also set to race in its final individual qualifier in slalom on Saturday at Bridger Bowl in what will be the last RMISA event before the NCAA Championships on March 11-14 at Soldier Hollow and Olympic Park in Utah.
