Saxman Named Summit League Women’s Swimmer of the Week

Freshman Julia Saxman builds on impressive freshman campaign with her third Summit League weekly award
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – University of Denver women's swimmer Julia Saxman has been named the Kwik Star Summit League Women's Swimming Peak Performer of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. This week's award is Saxman's third of the season.
Saxman led Denver's swimmers at the 2026 Sprint Eliminator at Air Force last weekend, guiding the Pioneers to their sixth dual victory in the last seven meets.
The Denver freshman swam in Denver's two relay victories, leading Denver to an 1:40.51 in the 200 medley relay and an 1:33.97 in the 200 free. In the sprint races on Saturday, Saxman won the 50 fly and 50 free prelims, semis and finals.
