[12/13] Denver Heads to [8/7] Ohio State on Thursday Night

The Pioneers set for midweek clash in Columbus

DENVER – The [12/13] University of Denver men's lacrosse program will leave the mountain time zone for the first time in the 2026 regular season on Thursday night when the Pioneers travel to [8/7] Ohio State. The game, which will be streamed on BTN+, is set for faceoff at 7 p.m. ET/5 p.m. MT.
 
SERIES HISTORY:
Denver holds a 15-13 edge in the Division I series that dates back to 1999. The Pioneers are 7-3 in their last 10 against the Buckeyes and 5-6 in Columbus, including a 9-6 win in Ohio in 2024. Last season, Ohio State defeated Denver 15-11 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium, snapping a four-game winning streak for Denver in the series. FULL SERIES
 
LAST TIME OUT:
Prior to a bye week last weekend, the Pioneers used a 4-0 fourth quarter to pull away from [RV] Michigan by a count of 15-9 on February 28 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Cody Malawsky tied career highs in points (7) and goals (5) to lead the Denver offense. FULL RECAP
 
ON THIS DATE
Denver is 3-1 on March 12 in its Division I history.
In 2017, Denver knocked off No. 1 Notre Dame 11-10 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium when Connor Cannizzaro dodged from X with one second left to defeat the top-ranked Irish.

2025: Denver's and its opponents scored 17 goals off resets apiece last season.
2026: Denver is 2-for-10 in reset chances this year, while its opponents are 1-for-19
Utah was 0-for-8 in reset chances in DU's one-goal win in February while the Pioneers converted on their only reset opportunity.

Denver is 14-30 vs. teams in the USILA Top-5, with the last win coming in the 2024 NCAA Quarterfinals vs. No. 4 Syracuse.
Denver's 2024 overtime win at Johns Hopkins and its March 20, 2022 win at No. 7 Ohio State are the program's two top-10 road wins since a trip to Notre Dame in 2020, the final game before the COVID-19 shutdown.
The Pioneers beat [7] Duke in a neutral site game in Texas on 3/22/25.

Noah Manning and Tyler Pace combined for 10 points in Calgary's 14-7 win over Rochester last Sunday.
Alex Simmons had a goal and seven assists to lead Oshawa back to the win column by a count of 13-12.
 
UP NEXT: Denver will return home for a Monday night showdown with Syracuse, who is also in the top-10 of this week's polls. Next Monday's game at PBLS is set for a 6 p.m. MT faceoff, and will be broadcast on Altitude TV.
