DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team (9-5, 2-0 Summit) is ranked No. 55 the ITA Computerized Rankings that were released on Tuesday.
DU played just once last week, hosting Davidson on March 13 and earning a 5-2 win after losing just three combined games across the clinching matches for the doubles point, then securing the dual with straight-sets wins at Nos. 1, 4 and 6 singles.
So far in 2026, Denver has faced six teams that currently appear in the ITA team rankings, highlighted by wins over No. 35 Arizona and No. 56 Colorado. Four of DU's five losses this season have come against ranked teams: No. 14 Arizona State, No. 44 Utah, No. 53 BYU and No. 64 Oregon.
This is the fourth time Denver has appeared in the ITA team rankings this season and its second in as many weeks.
The ITA Division I Women's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 313), as well as the top 125 singles players and top 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level. Team rankings are issued weekly while singles and doubles rankings are issued bi-weekly through March before also being issued weekly in April.
The University of Denver women's tennis team is on a bye week until starting a four-match road trip in Memphis, Tennessee, to play host Memphis on March 25 and then taking on Xavier in a neutral-site match on March 27.
