Denver to Send Three Swimmers to USA Swimming Open Water Nationals

Finn Holdredge, Paige Reilly and Genevieve Franklin will compete in Sarasota this week
DENVER – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs will combine to send three student-athletes to the 2026 USA Swimming Open Water National Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida, this week

The event will be live streamed on the USA Swimming Network. Â

Finn Holdredge will open the championships for the Pioneers with the 10K men's event on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. MT.

A day later, Holdredge will be joined by women's swimmers Paige Reilly and Genevieve Franklin in the 3K Knockout event. DU's women will begin at 8:30 a.m. MT, while the men's race starts at 10 a.m. MT.

The 3K knockout event consists of three rounds. The first round will be a 1500m lap in which the top-10 will advance to round two. Friday's second round is a 1000m lap and the top half of the 20-swimmer field will advance to the final round. The final round is a 500m lap.

Saturday morning, Reilly and Franklin will swim in the 5K women's event at 6:10a.m. MT.
