DENVER – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs will combine to send three student-athletes to the 2026 USA Swimming Open Water National Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida, this week
The event will be live streamed on the
USA Swimming Network.
Finn Holdredge will open the championships for the Pioneers with the 10K men's event on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. MT.
A day later, Holdredge will be joined by women's swimmers
Paige Reilly and
Genevieve Franklin in the 3K Knockout event. DU's women will begin at 8:30 a.m. MT, while the men's race starts at 10 a.m. MT.
The 3K knockout event consists of three rounds. The first round will be a 1500m lap in which the top-10 will advance to round two. Friday's second round is a 1000m lap and the top half of the 20-swimmer field will advance to the final round. The final round is a 500m lap.
Saturday morning, Reilly and Franklin will swim in the 5K women's event at 6:10a.m. MT.
