DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team (10-5, 0-0 Summit) is ranked No. 71 in the in the ITA Computerized Rankings that were released on Tuesday.
Denver is coming off a 5-1 record during a six-match road trip, most recently grabbing a 4-3 win at Cal Poly and a 7-0 sweep at Gonzaga on March 23 and 25, respectively.
In total, DU has faced off against six teams that join it in the current national rankings, highlighted by a 4-3 win against now-No. 66 Texas Tech. All five of Denver's losses have come to teams now in the national rankings: No. 40 Penn, No. 61 Boise State, No. 63 Wichita State, No. 67 BYU and No, 68 Northwestern.
This is Denver's third week in the ITA team rankings in 2026 and the first since March 10 when the team was No. 73.
The ITA Division I Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 243), as well as the top 125 singles players and top 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level. Beginning this week, rankings for teams, singles players and doubles teams will all be released weekly until the start of the NCAA tournament in May.
The University of Denver men's tennis team returns home to host its first two Summit League matches of the season, hosting Illinois State on Friday, April 3, and Oral Roberts on Saturday, April 4.
