Denver Honors 2026 National C11ampion Hockey Program

Magness Arena hosted its third national championship event in the last five years

DENVER – The 2026 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey National Champion University of Denver Pioneers Hockey program was honored by the athletic department with a championship celebration on Tuesday night in Magness Arena.

Local politicians, University leaders and members of the program took the ice at Magness Arena to look back on a third national champion season in the last five years, and a fourth title winning campaign in the last decade.

Hosted by former Voice of the Pioneers Jay Stickney, the NCAA Championship celebration featured speeches by Mayor Mike Johnston, DU Chancellor Jeremy Haefner, Vice Chancellor for Athletics and Ritchie Center Operations Josh Berlo, Richard and Kitzia Goodman Head Hockey Coach David Carle and alternate captain Boston Buckberger.
