DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team (18-5, 5-0 Summit) is ranked No. 75 in the in the ITA Computerized Rankings that were released on Thursday.
In what are the penultimate national team rankings for 2026 and the last to be released before the start of the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships, Denver holds the No. 75 spot. DU has now appeared in the ITA team rankings for seven total weeks in 2026 and in each of the last five.
Denver is coming off winning its third Summit League title in a row with a 4-1 win over Illinois State in the semifinals and a 4-0 sweep of North Dakota in the championship match. With the two wins in the Summit League tournament, DU extended its win streak to six and has won nine of its last 11 matches.
During the regular season, DU faced off against six teams that join it in the current national rankings including No. 73 Texas Tech, which Denver defeated, 4-3, in its season opener. Four of Denver's five losses came against teams now in the national rankings: No. 43 Penn, No. 66 Boise State, No. 68 Northwestern and No. 69 Wichita State.
The ITA Division I Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 243), as well as the top 125 singles players and top 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level.
The University of Denver men's tennis team has qualified for the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship for the third year in a row and will face No. 2-ranked and No. 6-seeded TCU in the NCAA First Round on Friday, May 1, at 5 p.m. CT/4 p.m. MT.
