DENVER – The No. 61-ranked University of Denver women's tennis team (11-7, 3-0 Summit) will host Oral Roberts and North Dakota for its final two home matches of the season on April 10-11.
Denver will first welcome ORU to Denver Tennis Park on Friday, April 10, at 2 p.m. MT before closing its home schedule with Senior Day against North Dakota on Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. MT – in a doubleheader with the Denver men's team that day.
Admission and parking are free at Denver Tennis Park for all matches.
LAST TIME OUT:
DU finished up a four-match road trip with split results last weekend, beginning with a 4-1 loss at Tulsa on April 3 for its non-conference finale. The team rebounded with a 7-0 sweep in its resumption of Summit League play at Kansas City on April 4, winning all six singles matches in straight sets and with five of the matches ending with the Denver player dropping four or fewer games in each.
Following the two matches, DU swept the weekly Summit League awards with senior
Louise Wikander earning Peak Performer of the Week honors and adding a Doubles Peak Team of the Week nod with fellow senior
Claudia Martinez de Velasco.
In singles, Wikander won at No. 1 singles, 6-2 6-1, against Kansas City and had begun a comeback from a set down against Tulsa when the match was abandoned at 1-1 in the third. In Doubles, Martinez de Velasco/Wikander lost only three combined games in their two wins on the week.
SERIES HISTORY:
Oral Roberts: Denver is 13-0 against ORU with sweeps in all but one of those meetings including in the last four. During the 2025 regular season, DU posted a 7-0 win on the road on April 4. DU also claimed a 7-0 sweep in Oral Roberts' last trip to Denver, coming on April 13, 2024.
North Dakota: DU is sitting on an 8-0 record against North Dakota, which includes two meetings in 2025. During last year's regular season, UND hosted Denver in a 5-2 DU win. Denver then hosted North Dakota in the Summit League semifinals where the Pioneers earned a 4-0 win to advance to the title match. UND's last regular-season trip to Denver was during the 2024 season and ended in a 7-0 win for DU.
