Manning Named USILA Second Team All-American

The sophomore goalie led the country in the regular season in goals against average

DENVER – University of Denver men's lacrosse sophomore goalie Grayson Manning has been named to the USILA All-America Second Team, the publication announced on Thursday.

Thursday's award makes Manning the 35th different Pioneer student-athlete to earn USILA All-America honors. Manning is the 13th Pioneer to earn first or second team honors, including the first since Jack Hannah and Danny Logan were both named to the USILA First Team in 2021.

Manning was a 2026 Tewaaraton Award Nominee that broke Denver's single-season saves record with 188, passing Jamie Faus' record set 15 years ago in the Pioneers 2011 campaign. The BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year led the country in save percentage in the regular season, and enters this weekend's NCAA First Round ranked second in save percentage (.610), fifth in saves per game (13.43) and 10th in goals against average (8.93).

The six-time BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week this season made double digit saves in all 13 games that he faced at least 10 shots on goal, including a career-high 20 saves in the Pioneers 8-7 win at Utah in February, earning him Lacrosse Network National Player of the Week honors. The 20 stops tied for the second most in a single game in the Pioneers Division I history. Manning finished at 60% or better in eight games in the 2026 campaign.

Last week, Manning was named an Inside Lacrosse Media Second Team All-American and a USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American.
