DENVER – Three University of Denver men's tennis players earned spots on the 2026 Summit League Men's Tennis Academic All-League Team, the Summit League announced on Tuesday.

Connor Robb-Wilcox and
Samuel Rovai were named to the Academic All-League Team, each for the first time in their careers.
Coats is majoring in business management and holds a 3.85 GPA. He made the jump to the No. 3 singles slot for Denver in 2026 after only playing part of his freshman season at No. 6. A 2026 All-Summit League selection, the sophomore from Leicester, England, led the roster with 30 singles wins in 2025-26 and added 20 more doubles victories. He was a perfect 5-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles in Summit League play.
Robb-Wilcox is working toward his master's degree in marketing with a 3.97 GPA. He joined his doubles partner Coats on the All-Summit League Team, going 24-9 in singles and 20-7 in doubles overall. In what was his second year at Denver, the graduate student from Salt Lake City was also 5-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles against Summit League opponents.
Rovai is studying finance and holds a 3.97 GPA. A sophomore from Gothenburg, Sweden, he also made a jump up DU's singles lineup and played the majority of the year at No. 2 while also playing at No. 1 five times. He finished with a 20-6 overall singles record and added 16 more wins in doubles. In Summit League play, he held perfect 5-0 records across both singles and doubles.
The Summit League Academic All-League Team recognizes six student-athletes as determined by a vote of sports information directors and faculty athletic representatives at each of the league's institutions. Nominated student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30, have completed at least one full academic year at their current institution and participated in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions. Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible.
Due to a tie, seven student-athletes were named to the 2026 Academic All-League Team for men's tennis. Denver was the only team with multiple honorees and made up nearly half of the team with its three student-athletes.

The University of Denver men's tennis team is coming off winning its third consecutive Summit League title in 2026 and its eighth overall in what was its final season as a member of the league. Beginning on July 1, the University of Denver will become a member of the West Coast Conference.
