DENVER – University of Denver redshirt junior defenseman Russell Overly has been named a 2026 USILA Scholar All-American, the coaches association announced last week.
 
Overly was a captain for the 2026 Pioneers and a BIG EAST First Team pick after playing and starting in all 14 games. The Georgia native picked up 50 ground balls and forced 19 turnovers in the campaign, while scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist in transition. Overly picked up at least five ground balls in four games, including a season-high six in the Pioneers 15-9 win over Michigan.
