Estepp and Whittaker Named to IL Women Top-100 Freshmen List

A pair of four-star recruits, Meredith Estepp was tabbed the 48th best freshman, while Courtney Whittaker was named to the Watch List
DENVER – The University of Denver women's lacrosse program had two 2027 freshmen appear in the IL Women Top-100 Freshmen rankings that were released Tuesday.
Meredith Estepp was the 48th ranked player in the rankings, while Courtney Whittaker was on the 50-player watch list that accompanied the top-50 rankings. Estepp and Whittaker are both four-star recruits according to IL Women.
Sister of former Pioneer Mollie Estepp, Meredith joins the program as a three-time U.S. Lacrosse All-American and a four-time all-conference pick in her high school lacrosse career in Worthington, Ohio. The freshman midfielder scored 55 goals and pulled down 167 draws in her standout junior campaign.
Whittaker joins the program as a midfielder from Houston, Texas. A three-time U.S. Lacrosse All-America selection in her own right, Whittaker played for the USA U-19 National Team in her prep career and was a three-time All-Texas pick.
