Won the 50 free at 2017 Speedo United States Junior National Championships…Also finished seventh in the 100 free at Junior Nationals...Finished fourth in the 18U Final in the 50 Free (41st overall) and earned an 18U Final appearance in the 100 free at the 2017 World Championship Trials...Farber broke the 17-18 Oregon State record in the 100 free with a 50.34...Finished fourth in the 100 free (50.10), fifth in the 50 back (27.04), third in the 50 free (22.61) and third in the 50 fly (24.52) at the Mel Zajac Jr. International.
2017-18:
Part of the first All-America relay in program history, finishing 15th in the prelims of the 200 free relay with a school-record 1:17.43…The quartet broke the school record again in the 200 free relay finals at the NCAA Championships, finishing 14th with a 1:17.22… Part of the relay that broke the school record in the 400 free at the national meet, combining for a 2:52.44, cutting 0.08 seconds off the previous best time set earlier in 2017-18…Also swam three individual races at the 2018 NCAA Championships, highlighted by a 24th-place finish in the 50 free (19.33) and a 28th-place finish in the 100 free (42.94)…Broke the Summit League Championship record in the 100 free…Reached NCAA B Standards in the 50 free (19.23), 100 free (42.56), 100 fly (48.10), 200 free relay (1:17.61) and 400 free relay (2:52.52)…Broke the El Pomar Natatorium record in the 50 free with a 19.88 on January 20…Took first place in the 50 free five times, won the 100 free four times, won the 200 free relay on five occasions, won the 400 free relay three times, and won the 200 medley relay five times.

Saw action in 15 meets …Broke the 50 free School Record at the NCAA Championships as the leadoff leg of the 4X200 free, an event Denver finished 17th in…Also finished 22nd in the 400 medley relay at NCAAs…Top time on the team in the 50 free, turning in a 19.37 in the 2017 NCAA Championships…Top time on the team in the 100 free, turning in a 43.26 at the Summit League Championships.
Before Denver:
Sid Farber swam for Lincoln High School swim team and was named to the All-Conference First Team during his junior year, as well as Second Team All-State... He started his senior year with a sixth place finish at the Winter Junior Nationals in the 50 freestyle event, followed by winning Oregon's State Championship in the 50 and 100 freestyle event, followed by sectionals, he placed second overall and received his Olympic Trial and US Open cut times... He ranked first in the nation for 17 year old swimmers in the 50 free in USA Swimming's age group rankings.
