Finished sixth in the men’s 200 free with a time of 1:50.95 at the 2017 Canadian National Championships...Finished eighth in the 400 free (3:59.63), fourth in the 800 free (8:20.95) and seventh in the 200 free (1:53.85) at the 2018 Mel Zajac Jr. International.

2017-18: 
Took first in the 500 free, reaching the wall in 4:19.86 at the CSCAA Invitational…Won the 1650 free at the CSCAA Invitational with a meet record 15:06.28…Earned NCAA B Standards in the 200 free (1:35.92), 500 free (4:16.32), 1650 free (15:13.22)…Won the 200 free once, took first place for the 500 free on nine occasions, won the 1000 free twice, won the 1650 free twice, came in first for the 100 butterfly once and won the 800 free relay once.  

2016-17 Internationals:
Finished second in the 800 free (8:17.41), sixth in the 200 free (1:54.65), fourth in the 400 free (3:59.75) at the Mel Zajac International…Touched sixth in the A-final in the 200 free (1:50.48) at the Canada Swimming Trials…Finished sixth in the 200 fly at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships at 2:01.57…Swam the leadoff leg of the 4X200 relay, helping Canada to a third place finish at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships…Finished sixth in the 400 free at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships (3:55.96).

2016-17:
Saw action in 15 meets …Finished 37^th in the 500 free (4:20.52) and 31^st in the 1650 free (15:03.97) at the NCAA Championships…Top time on the team in the 200 free, clocking in at 1:35.96 at the 2017 Summit League Championships.

Personal:
Colin is the son of Mark and Katti Gilbert...One younger sister, Tatiana (21)...Outside of swimming, his hobbies include barbecuing, hiking, art shows, biking and music...He also volunteers at local Kamloops Classic Swimming competitions.
