Cate Brams served as the Assistant Nordic Coach of the University of Denver Ski Team in winter 2024 after being hired to the position on Aug. 8, 2023.
She was hired as the head Nordic coach at Harvard University on July 29, 2024.
During her one season with Denver, she helped the four Nordic Pioneers capture five All-American awards at the 2024 NCAA Championship as the team picked up a podium spot as third overall.
Brams joined the Pioneers after spending the previous four years leading Eastern Mass Cross Country (EMXC) in Massachusetts, serving as the head coach and program director in the last two seasons (2021-2023). She first joined EMXC in 2019-20 as the lead coach for U18 and U20 girls. Brams was named the 2022 Coach of the Year by the New England Nordic Ski Association and helped EMXC win the 2023 U.S. Ski and Snowboard Junior National Female Club Championship.
Prior to her time at EMXC, Brams spent one season racing professionally for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation Gold Team in 2018-19 and four years competing on the NCAA circuit at Middlebury College in Vermont (2015-2018). She recorded 13 top-10 finishes in Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association races during her time at Middlebury and earned All-EISA First Team honors in 2018 while also serving as a team captain.
The Belmont, Massachusetts, native graduated from Middlebury in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a minor in political science.
Brams has two younger sisters that also have a collegiate skiing background. Leah competed for Dartmouth College and graduated from the school in 2021 while Shea was a sophomore at Middlebury in 2023-24.
