Biography

2025-26 (at TCU):
Competed at the Big 12 Championships (Feb. 24-28) where he set two new personal bests in the 100 free (43.65) and 200 fly (1:45.20)…Won the 200 free at the Big 12 Championships (Jan. 16-17) while also finishing first in the 400 free relay (44.14 split)…Grabbed a victory in the 100 free versus UT Permian Basin (Jan. 10) after touching the wall in 45.17…Opened the year against Incarnate Word (Sept. 27) where he earned a second-place finish in the 100 free (44.66).
 
2024-25 (at TCU):
Made his first appearance at the Big 12 Championships, making it to the finals of the 100 free, 100 fly and 200 fly while also securing fourth overall in the 400 free relay. Finished second in the 100 free with the third-fastest time in school history (43.77) at the Sterkel Classic (Feb. 1)…Secured a trio of top-three finishes versus Incarnate Word (Jan. 18), placing second in the 200 fly (1:48.98) and third in the 100 fly (48.72) and 200 medley relay (1:29.50)…Came in second in the 100 fly (48.26) and third in the 200 fly (1:48.16) against SMU (Oct. 25)…Opened his collegiate career versus Texas A&M and BYU (Oct. 18-19), tallying one top-three result in the 200 fly (1:50.98)
 
BEFORE TCU:
Represented Bulgaria at International competitions since 2021…Gold Medalist at the 2021 Comen Cup in Serbia…First Place in the 2023 Multinations Junior Swimming Meet in Cyprus….Semifinalist and Finalist at the 2023 European Junior Championships…Competed at the 2025 LEN U23 European Championships…Bulgarian national record holder in the 4X100 free relay.
 
PERSONAL:
Chose the University of Denver because it allows him to continue doing what he loves at a high level, both academically and athletically…He is excited about the University offering excellent opportunities to grow in his sport while also providing a strong computer science program that matches his academic interests…Wants to qualify and compete at the NCAA level…Also wants to represent his country at the major international level at competitions such as the World Championships and European Championships…Also enjoys biking, drawing, playing video games and playing tennis.
