Katie Gorczyca returns as a Volunteer Assistant for Head Coach Barbara Perkins for the 2021 Women’s Triathlon season.
 
Gorczyca assisted Perkins during the program’s inaugural 2020-21 campaign after previously competing for three years at the NCAA level at Arizona State University from 2016-2018. She finished runner-up at the 2016 NCAA National Championship and closed her collegiate career as a redshirt senior by earning All-American honors and placing third overall at the 2018 USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship.
 
Prior to joining the Sun Devils, Gorczyca trained at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for two years, earning her elite card. She was also a member of Team USA at the 2016 and 2018 World Championships.
 
The Las Vegas, Nevada, native graduated from ASU with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and is currently getting her degree in dental surgery at the Colorado School of Dentistry. She is a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach.
