Mia Sundstrom

Mia Sundstrom enter her second season as assistant coach and third overall season on the coaching staff in 2025. She was promoted to assistant coach ahead of the 2023-24 season after spending 2022-23 as Denver's volunteer assistant coach. She primarily assists with coaching on beam and floor.

  • Posted program record NQS on floor (49.530) and third-highest on beam (49.550)
  • Helped coach team to sixth-highest beam score (49.550) and second-highest floor score (49.675) in program history
  • Helped lead Jessica Hutchinson to two perfect 10.0s on floor and first-team WCGA Regular-Season All-America honors on beam, floor
  • Helped coach Jessica Hutchinson (beam, floor) and Bella Mabanta (beam) to NCAA Regional individual titles

Gymnastics Student-Athlete, University of Denver (2018-22)

  • Four-time Academic All-Big 12 Team Member
  • Five-time WCGA Scholastic All-American
  • Helped lead Denver to historic fourth-place finish at 2019 NCAA National Championships and to the program's first Big 12 Gymnastics Championship in 2021
  • Finished career with career highs of at least 9.900 on all four events and a 39.425 in the all-around
