Stephen Cavallo enters his second season as an assistant coach for the DU women's soccer team for the 2024 season.

2024

  • Helped lead Denver to the second overall seed in the Summit League tournament, entering the postseason on a five-match unbeaten streak
  • Coached team to upset win at then-No. 24 Texas A&M on August 21, Denver's first-ever road win at an SEC opponent
  • Opened season with a narrow 1-2 loss to eventual NCAA national champion North Carolina on August 15
  • Finished 11-6-2 on the season including 4-2-2 at home and 5-1-2 in the Summit League
  • Helped lead Ella Frost to Summit League Midfielder of the Year honors
  • Coached Ella Frost (first team) and Riley Baker (second team) to United Soccer Coaches All-West Region teams

2023

  • Helped lead Denver to its fifth-straight Summit League regular-season title and its eighth overall
  • Coached team to two wins over Power-5 teams (4-2 vs. NC State, 2-0 at Oregon); earned 3-3 draw at [RV] Milwaukee
  • Finished 9-2-7 on the season including 7-1-2 at home
  • Helped lead Liv Moritz to No. 54 ranking in Top Drawer Soccer Postseason Top 100 Freshmen and Summit League Newcomer of the Year honors
  • Coached Kaitlyn Glover (second team), Vanessa Murray (second team) and Moritz (third team) to United Soccer Coaches All-West Region teams

  • Served as goalkeepers coach and helped lead recruiting

Montana State University Billings Head Coach (2017-22)

  • Coached Clare Kennan to first-team All-GNAC honors in 2022
  • Helped lead Liberty Palmer to GNAC Freshman of the Year in 2021
  • Led the Yellowjackets to a 6-2-1 home record in 2021
  • Finished with sixth-highest fall-season GPA in the country at DII level in 2019; led Amanda Hemmen to first-team Academic All-America honors in 2018 and 2019

Montana State University Billings Assistant Coach (2014-16)

  • Coached team to GNAC tournament all three years and finished as the runner-up in 2014
  • Finished with 8-7-2 record (6-5-1 in GNAC) in 2015
