Tom Poole

Tom Poole completed his first season as an assistant coach for the DU women's soccer team in 2025.

2025

  • Helped lead Denver to a share of the Summit League regular-season title, the program's ninth overall
  • Registered a win over a top-25 opponent for second consecutive season (2-1 over No. 25 Colorado State on September 14)
  • Finished 9-5-4 on the season including 5-2-0 at home and 6-1-1 in the Summit League
  • Helped coach Emma Thielbahr and Hannah Tate to Summit League Defensive Player and Midfielder of the Year awards, respectively

Prior to Denver

Colorado Storm USL-W Head Coach (2024-25)

  • Helped lead team to 2024 USL-W finals
  • Won 2024 mountain division and western conference championships

Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club Elite Academy Director & Head Coach (2017-25)

  • Served as head coach for USL-W team
  • Had direct oversight of the High Potential Program
  • Held previous roles as elite manager of high performance and boys' U11-12 director of coaching

Regis University Men's Soccer Assistant Coach (2021-23, 2013-17)

  • Helped coach numerous All-RMAC players and Division II CCA All-Region team members

  • Served as Denver men's soccer director of operations in 2019-20
  • Named to United Soccer Coaches' 30-Under-30 (2019)
  • Served as technical director for North Denver Rush (2015-17)
  • Four-year NCAA Division II starter at Wingate (2008-11)
  • Owns United Soccer Coaches' director of coaching, advanced national, premier and sports performance diplomas
  • Owns current UEFA "A" license

  • Bachelor's degree in health & physical education (Wingate '12)
