Maureen Kechriotis enters her first season as Denver assistant coach in 2024-25. As part of her role at DU, she will help lead the team's development/community outreach efforts.

Prior to Denver (Coaching/Related Experience)

Head Coach (Boys' and Girls' Tennis), Denver South High School (2018-24)

• Led boys' team to back-to-back 4A league titles (2021, 2022), its first since 1963
• Coached girls' team to three consecutive 4A league final appearances (2022-24)
• Combined for nine appearances at CHSAA 4A state tournament

Owner, Smash Tennis, LLC (2022-pres.)

• Promotes sport of tennis as beneficial to children's physical and mental well-being
• Runs summer programs with Denver Public Schools, DU (in partnership with Wilson), JTT, UTR and more than 200 tennis camps
• Has certifications from USPTA, USTA and Wilson

Director of Tennis, Tennis for Kids (2017-22)

• Led tennis clinics and PE classes in underserved communities
• Helped grow participation among targeted communities by 45 percent

Education

• Bachelor's degree in communication and media studies (Colorado-Boulder)
