Simona Bruetting will enter her fourth season coaching the University of Denver women's tennis team in 2024-25.

In addition to her role with the Denver team, she has been an assistant tennis professional at Colorado Athletic Club Inverness since 2007 and is a tournament director for junior USTA tournaments and junior UTR matchplay hosted by CAC Inverness.

Prior to Denver:
Bruetting was an assistant coach at Tulane University from August 2000 - May 2001.

As a student-athlete at Southeastern Louisiana University (1995-98), she finished with a career record of 65-12. In 1996, she achieved a ranking of No. 62 in the Rolex Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings and earned multiple accolades including: All-Louisiana (1996, 1997, 1998), All-TAAC (1996, 1997) and All-Southland (1998).

She represented the U.S. in the World Team Senior Championships (W35s and W40s), playing in Boca Raton, Florida; Turkey; Croatia; and South Africa. In 2015, she won the gold medal in W35s at the World Doubles Championship tournament in Floriday. As a member of the W35s team in 2016, she also won a bronze medal by way of the team's third-place finish in Turkey.

Personal:
Bruetting is married with two children. Her daughter Veronika is a junior on the Butler University women's tennis team, and her son Thomas is a freshman at the University of Northern Colorado.
