Jeffery Hicks will enter his second season as the Director of Volleyball Operations in 2021.

Hicks was part of a Crimson and Gold squad that went on to a regular-season Summit League Championship with a 13-2 mark, including posting the first perfect undefeated road record (8-0) in program history.

Hicks comes to Denver after spending two seasons with the Michigan State Spartans. While at Michigan State, he was responsible for statistical and video analysis, generating opponent scouting reports, recording live statistics in practice and matches, and assisting with camp organization.

Hicks has been involved with the USA Volleyball Women's Sitting National Team for the last seven years, serving as the team's technical coordinator and business management assistant. Hick's responsibilities include producing live statistics and analysis, using analytics to create detailed pre-match and in-game strategies, scouting and generating video analysis for athlete development.

Hicks earned a silver medal with the U.S. sitting team at the 2018 World Championships and has won gold medals with the sitting team at the 2015 Para PanAm Games in Toronto as well as at the 2016 International Cup. The U.S. sitting team achieved gold in 2016 at the Rio Paralympic Games and earned the world #1 ranking after that historic win. The team has held the #1 ranking through the rest of this Paralympic Quad and will be looking to defend its gold medal again in Tokyo 2020.

Previously based in Atlanta, Hicks worked with the Emory University women's program in the fall of 2017, helping the No. 2-seeded Eagles to an Elite Eight appearance. Other collegiate stops included Mississippi State (2013), where he had a role in operations in addition to statistical analysis, and at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina (2012-13), where he was an assistant coach for both the men's and women's programs, helping the men's team to a Conference Carolina's Championship.

Hicks is a graduate of Mercer University in 2012 with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Business Management.
