The Lancers recorded a 30-18-2 record during her senior year and as a junior, they finished the season 33-11-3...2014-15 AVCA Under Armour Third-Team All-American after recording 419 kills, 82 blocks, 281 digs and 55 assists in 117 sets in 2015...Part of the USA Volleyball pipeline...In 2012, member of the USAV Girls Youth Continental team that competed at the USAV High Performance Championships in Des Moines, Iowa. During the 2013 and ‘14 seasons, member of the USA Junior A1 Red Team that won the women’s international junior division.
Top-10 finalist for Miss Michigan volleyball, named a PrepVolleyball.com Senior Ace (#87), Fab 50 Junior, Sophomore 79 honorable mention and Frosh 59 honorable mention selection...As a junior, second-team all-state and all-conference honoree, and earned all-region honors. All-district selection her sophomore year. A top recruit, Joachim was pursued by UCLA, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Tennessee, Ball State, Syracuse, TCU, Penn State, Old Miss and San Diego State...Joachim is a strategic communication major and is pursuing a minor in technology arts and media...She was a member of the honor roll all four years of high school and is also a member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL:
Taylor Joachim was born on March 24, 1997 in St. Joseph, Michigan. She is the daughter of Ralf and Deb, who played volleyball at Grand Valley State, Joachim. She has one younger sibling, Bailey, who also plays volleyball. Joachim enjoys making jewelry, drawing, sculpting and hiking. She also has her own business making wood and acrylic pens since she was in sixth grade. She made the pens for family and friends and also sold them at a local gift shop.
