University of Denver Athletics

Emi Matsuno came to the University of Denver in the summer of 2022 and is beginning her third season as the athletic trainer working with DU Men’s Basketball.  
 
Matsuno most recently worked as an associate AD of sports medicine at the University of Cincinnati. At Cincinnati, she moved from an intern athletic trainer to the associate athletic director of sports medicine over the course of her tenure while she was there for over fourteen years.  
 
A native of Sapporo, Japan, Matsuno is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
