The University of Denver men's lacrosse program has named former Pioneer captain Jack Tortolani an assistant coach, William G. Tierney Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Matt Brown announced on September 7.
Tortolani played in 53 games across five seasons (2021-25) in his Pioneer career, starting 31 of them in Denver's offensive midfield. The Baltimore native posted 42 career points on 20 goals and 22 assists, including recording career-highs in all three categories in his grad year (10-11-21). Tortolani captained the Pioneers in 2024 and 2025, leading Denver back to Championship Weekend in his true senior season in 2024.
Following graduation, Tortolani joined the Saint Joseph men's lacrosse staff for the 2026 campaign, where he helped the Hawks to a 7-6 record and a 3-3 mark in the Atlantic 10. Tortolani and the Hawks earned a spot in the A-10 championship game with their 11-9 win over second-seeded High Point in the semifinals.
