Marlon McKenzie

Marlon McKenzie is in his first season as an assistant coach for the DU women's soccer team, beginning with the spring 2026 season.

Prior to Denver

Illinois Institute of Technology Men's Assistant Coach (2024-26)

  • Helped lead team to first-ever NACC tournament win
  • Coached United Soccer Coaches' All-Region VIII honorees Tomas Rebellato and Mateo Secaira
  • Also coached Secaira to NACC Freshman of the Year honors in 2025

University of Chicago Women's Assistant Coach (2018-26)

  • Helped lead program to multiple NCAA DIII tournament appearances
  • Coached multiple players to NCAA DIII All-American and United Soccer Coaches' All-Region honors

University of Chicago Women's Volunteer Assistant Coach (2014-17)

  • Assisted with training and competition coaching
  • Also served as goalkeeper coach

Additional Experience & Qualifications

  • Served head coach for Southside Fire Soccer Club in Chicago area for U10-U18 girls teams (2007-19)
  • Shortlisted for Jamaican Under-21 National Team; also played on multiple amateur and semi-professinal club teams
  • Was team captain while playing at Moneague College (Jamaica)
  • Owns United Soccer Coaches' Goalkeeper Level 1 license
  • Owns US Soccer coaching licenses (B, C, D, F and national youth)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with minors in math and science for elementary education (Northeastern Illinois '09)
  • Three-year diploma in secondary education and information technology & business studies (Moneague College in Jamaica '05)
