Niko Blankenship currently serves as the Director of Athletic Communications in the University of Denver Division of Athletics. Blankenship joined the Denver staff full time in July, of 2014 as the Assistant Director of Athletics and Recreation Publicity, before being promoted to his current role in August of 2018. Prior to joining the Pioneers full time, Blankenship spent a year as a Public Relations Assistant at SMU covering women's golf, equestrian, men's basketball and football during the 2013-14 season. Blankenship worked two years as an intern covering women's soccer and gymnastics at the University of Denver from 2011-13 following his four years as a Student Sports Information Assistant at Ashland University.
Blankenship graduated from Ashland University (Ashland, Ohio) in 2011 with a double major in Sports Communications and Mathematics.
Niko currently resides in Lochbuie with his wife Jordanne, daughter Rylie, sons Jaxon and Liam and Australian shepherd Freya.
