Nick Meldrum is in his 17th year at the University of Denver in 2025-26 after joining the athletic department in 2009. In his role, he is responsible for the purchase, distribution, maintenance and repair of equipment for the players and staff of the hockey team, as well as equipment room operations for the entire athletic department.
 
Meldrum has won three NCAA National Championships as the equipment manager of the DU hockey team (2017, 2022, 2024) and served in the same role to help USA Hockey to the gold medal at both the 2024 and 2025 IIHF World Junior Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, and Ottawa, Canada.
 
The Warren, Michigan, native joined the Pioneers after serving two seasons as the equipment manager for the United States National Team Development Program (U.S. NTDP). During his tenure with the NTDP, he worked with the under-17 and under-18 squads, winning a gold medal with the Americans at the 2009 IIHF U18 World Championship and a silver medal at the 2007 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
 
Meldrum also served as a U.S. equipment manager at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, assisting the Americans in their silver-medal win.
 
A graduate of Lake Superior State in 2007 with a degree in business marketing and management, Meldrum resides in Littleton with his wife, Debra, and daughters, Olivia and Sadie.
