TOWSON, Md. (March 19) -- Towson University erased an early 2-0 deficit with an 8-0 run en route to a 16-9 victory over 15th-ranked University of Denver Sunday, March 19. The loss was the second straight for the Pioneers (4-2) and the first of the season for the Tigers (1-2), who had opened the season with a pair of one-goal losses.
Junior Mike Law and freshman Adam Stifel put the Pioneers on top 2-0 quickly. A Todd Paradise goal with 8:37 left in the first quarter got the Tigers started on their 8-0 run. Towson held Denver scoreless for 21:49 during the run and never led by fewer than six goals following the rally.
Brad Reppert led Towson with a career high four goals and two assists. Law and senior Garth Miles paced Denver with two goals each.
Goalkeeper John Horrigan made 13 saves for the Tigers in a winning effort. Brian Berger had 14 stops in the nets for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers continue their three-game spring break road trip with a contest at Wagner on Wednesday, March 22.
