Men's Tennis Defeats Montana State

DENVER - The University of Denver men's tennis squad defeated Montana State, 6-1, at the Air Force Academy, Friday (Jan. 26). Denver remained perfect on young season, improving its overall record to 2-0.

Senior Boris Turkic (Samboor, Croatia) defeated MSU's Thijs Goossens, 7-6 and 6-4, and then teamed up with senior Tomacz Wawrzyniak (Inowroclaw, Poland) to defeat the Bobcats' No. 1 doubles team, 9-8.

Other winners for the Pioneers at singles included juniors Magnus Ramfelt (Bromma, Sweden), Jay Patel (Ahmedabad, India), Trevor Young (Pueblo, Colo.) and Lachlan Menzies (Perth Australia). Denver swept all three doubles matches to earn the overall victory.
