Men's Tennis Remains Perfect with Victory Over AFA

Pioneers Defeat Air Force, 5-2

DENVER -- The University of Denver men's tennis team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 5-2 victory at Air Force Friday.

After dropping the doubles point, the Pioneers battled back to win five of the six singles matches to clinch the win. Senior Boris Turkic (Samboor, Croatia) and juniors Magnus Ramfelt (Bromma, Sweden) and Jay Patel (Ahmedabad, India) continued their great play at singles. Turkic defeated AFA's Eric Pittman in straight sets to improve to 14-3 on the year. Ramfelt improved to 10-4 with a 6-4, 6-3, victory over Rene Ramirez, while Patel ran his record to 8-4 with a straight-set win over Doug Fike.
