University of Denver senior Andrea Baron (West Vancouver, B.C.) was named to the 2003 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District VII Women's Volleyball Second Team today for her effort off-the-court by earning a 3.74 cumulative grade point average. Baron is currently third on the team with a .320 attack percentage and is second with 287 kills on the season.
The district team is comprised of student athletes from 17 Division I schools in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Wyoming. Out of 58 total athletes nominated, Baron was one of 12 student-athletes selected as part of the Academic All-America? program.
The Pioneers return to the court today for Sun Belt Conference action with a match at New Orleans at 6 p.m.
