DENVER - In the evening game, the University of Denver volleyball team dominated Wright State beating the Raiders 3-0, in the finale of the GMC Classic to claim third place. Sophomore Lisa Hunter (St. Louis, Mo.) was named to the Barker, GMC Classic All-Tournament Team.

Denver held a 43-34 kill advantage to top Wright State. Denver left the tournament 1-2 and is now 1-3 on the season.

"We finally played at a level that we are capable of," said head coach Beth Kuwata. "We made far few errors and played far better defense than we played all weekend. I think with how young our team is, we are headed in the right direction."

Hunter and junior Amanda Mallard (South Lake, Texas) led the Pioneers with 10 kills each.
