MONROE, La. - The University of Denver volleyball team posted a school-record eighth consecutive win in a five-set match against Sun Belt Conference opponent Louisiana-Monroe, 3-2, Thursday evening in Monroe, La. (30-25, 29-31, 30-25, 28-30 and 15-4). The Pioneers improve to a SBC West Division-best 11-4 and are 18-9 overall, while the Warhawks fall to 5-25 and 2-12.
"It was a passing and serving match," head coach Beth Kuwata said. "The aces and serving errors sum up this match. Whoever stayed in and controlled the others' serve won the game. We did happen to control game five. They are a great serving team and they put pressure on our service team."
