"All the guys played really well and we competed hard," DU assistant coach Jeremy Wurtzman said. "It is nice to be back at home. Hopefully, this win will give us momentum against a tough BYU squad Saturday."

DU claimed the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2. No. 7 Adam Holmstrom (Eskilstuna, Sweden) and Niklas Persson (Stockholm, Sweden) raced to an 8-3 win over Stanislav Glukhov and Paulo Miranda at No. 1, and Benny Althaus (Saarbrucken, Germany) and Andrew Landwerlen (Las Cruces, N.M.) defeated Robert Chalkley and Timothy Huynh 8-4 at No. 2.
