DENVER - The University of Denver volleyball team (9-12, 3-4 SBC) fell 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-18) to the visiting Arkansas State Red Wolves (9-9, 3-3 SBC) on Sunday afternoon in Hamilton Gymnasium. Junior Alyssa Bonelli (Superior, Colo.) led the Pioneers offensively with 10 kills and a .533 hitting percentage to go along with three blocks.

Also contributing for the Pioneers was senior Kresson Vreeman (Raymond, Minn.) who finished with six kills, 25 assists and two service aces. Defensively, senior Kacie Wikierak (Crystal Lake, Ill.) led the way with eight kills, while freshman Alex Turgeon (Cherry Hills Village, Colo.) finished with seven digs and two blocks.

Jasmine Terry led the Red Wolves with 12 kills, while Ashley Tipps contributed 10 kills. Also contributing offensively was Kelsie Hodges who finished with nine kills and five blocks.

Denver closes out its five-game home stand on Tuesday evening as it hosts SBC foe North Texas in Hamilton Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
