DENVER – The University of Denver volleyball program has finalized its 2026 schedule, the program's inaugural season as a member of the West Coast Conference, head coach
Megan Pendergast announced on Friday.
Denver will open its 2026 campaign in Boulder for three matches in three days. The Pioneers will begin the weekend against Central Arkansas (Aug. 28) before taking on Cal State Northridge (Aug. 29) and hosts Colorado (Aug. 30) in the finale.
The Pioneers open their September slate with their first home games of the season. Denver will welcome SIUE (Sept. 3), Idaho (Sept. 4) and Marist (Sept. 5) to the Mile High City for the three-game invitational.
DU leaves the state of Colorado for the first time in the second weekend of September when the Pioneers head to Texas. Denver's road trip will feature matches against Corpus Christi (Sept. 10), Tarleton State (Sept. 11) and Sam Houston (Sept. 12).
The Crimson and Gold will close non-conference play against Air Force in Hamilton Gymnasium on September 16, before closing out week four in Greeley against Northern Colorado (Sept. 17) and Utah (Sept. 18).
Denver opens its inaugural season in the West Coast Conference in the final weekend of September when the Pioneers welcome Pacific (Sept. 24) and Saint Mary's (Sept. 26) to Hamilton Gymnasium.
The Pioneers final seven home game dates round out the double round robin schedule in the WCC. Denver hosts Pepperdine (Oct. 8) and LMIU (Oct. 10) in week three of the league calendar, Santa Clara (Sept. 29) and San Francisco (Oct. 31) in week six, travel partner San Diego (Nov. 7) in week seven and Seattle (Nov. 19) and Portland (Nov. 21) in week nine.
