Box Score FORT COLLINS, Colo. -The University of Denver volleyball team (11-14, 5-5 SBC) fell 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-11) to in-state foe No. 15 Colorado State (18-2, 7-0 MWC) on Wednesday evening in Moby arena. The freshman duo of Brea Muhle (Columbus, Neb.) and Colleen King (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) led the Pioneers with five kills apiece.
Also contributing for the Pioneers was senior Kresson Vreeman (Raymond, Minn.), who finished with four kills and 15 assists, while sophomore Lyndi Johnson (Flower Mound, Texas) led the team defensively with five digs.
Megan Plourde led the Rams with eight kills, while Jacque Davisson contributed with seven kills. Leading the way defensively was Danielle Minch with five blocks, while Dana Cranston finished with five digs.
Next up, the Pioneers host three Sun Belt Conference matches in Hamilton Gymnasium, beginning with South Alabama on Friday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.
