Box Score JONESBORO, Ark. - The University of Denver volleyball team (13-16, 7-7 SBC) fell 3-2 (22-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 15-12) on the road at Arkansas State (14-10, 8-4 SBC) on Friday evening in the HPESS Facility in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Freshman Alex Turgeon (Cherry Hills Village, Colo.) led the Pioneers with 15 kills, while also finishing with six digs, two blocks and two assists. Also contributing for the Pioneers was freshman Colleen King (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) with 14 kills, eight digs and one block, while sophomore Faimie Kingsley (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 12 kills and two blocks.
Senior setter Kresson Vreeman (Raymond, Minn.) finished with 42 assists to go along with nine kills and 11 digs, while senior libero Kacie Wikierak (Crystal Lake, Ill.) finished with 30 digs. Sophomore Lyndi Johnson (Flower Mound, Texas) also chipped in defensively with 13 digs.
Cayla Fielder led the Red Wolves with 16 kills, while Ashley Tipps finished with 13 kills and four blocks.
Denver remains on the road, traveling to Little Rock, Arkansas to take on the UALR Trojans on Sunday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. MT.
