DENVER - Sophomore Brianna Artemev (Arvada, Colo.) claimed her third all-around title this season as No. 20 Denver finished in first place with a final score of 195.050 at the Smith Fieldhouse on Friday evening. Host BYU took second place with a score of 194.975 and Utah State took third with a total of 190.475.

"This team showed poise tonight," said head coach Melissa Kutcher-Rinehart. "We had some big performances tonight and I am proud of what we were able to accomplish."

Artemev recorded a 9.875 on floor and a 9.825 on bars to tie for first place in each event. Senior Kelley Hennigan (The Woodlands, Texas), who claimed the vault title with a 9.825, finished just behind Artemev in the all-around with a score of 39.100.

Led by Artemev's 9.875, Denver counted four scores of at least 9.800 on floor to post a meet-high 49.100. But, BYU's 48.850 on bars continued the Cougars' 97.650-97.275 lead over the Pioneers. Utah State scored a 47.250 on beam for a 94.775 through two rotations.

Hennigan and fellow senior Lauren Garan (Cos Cob, Conn.) recorded 9.825 and 9.800 on vault, respectively, to push DU past BYU 146.075-145.900 going into the final rotation.

Freshman Jaleesa Wilson (Cary, N.C.) tied her career-high 9.800 on bars as Denver finished the meet with a 48.975 on bars to claim first place.
