"I am glad that we were able to get a win for our seniors. We will miss them tremendously next year," said head coach Melissa Kutcher-Rinehart. "But, as a team, we're not quite done, so it's not time to say goodbye, yet. We still have more to accomplish this season."

Led by Artemev's 9.990 in the second rotation, the Pioneers posted a team bars score of 49.075 to retain the lead, while Arizona scored a 48.850 on the balance beam to advance past Cal, which recorded a 48.075 on floor.

Despite being forced to count a fall on beam, Denver recorded a 48.550 on the apparatus and held a 146.650-146.175 lead over Arizona going into the final turn.

The Pioneers had to count another fall on floor, but sophomore Louise Mercer (Nottingham, England) and junior Kristina Coccia (Bethlehem, Pa.) each posted scores of 9.850 on the floor to secure the Pioneer win.

The last home meet of their careers, seniors Garan, Kelley Hennigan (The Woodlands, Texas) and Ellen McCarthy (Aurora, Ontario) were honored after the meet in recognition of their accomplishments while at DU.

Next up, Denver travels to Colorado Springs to take on in-state rival Air Force on Monday for the final meet of the regular season.
