Pioneers Fall 3-1 to Troy Trojans on the Road

TROY, Ala.- The University of Denver volleyball team fell 3-1 to the Troy Trojans on Friday evening at Sartain Hall, despite a career-high performance. The Pioneers (9-13, 6-4 SBC) fell 18-25, 20-25, 25-14, 22-25).

Junior Faimie Kingsley (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the way with a career-high 20 kills and a .395 hitting percentage while also recording six blocks. Also turning in a strong offensive performance was freshman Kate Acker (Waukesha, Wis.) who finished with nine kills, while also recording nine digs.

Redshirt senior Julia Cawthra (Lakewood, Colo.) finished the night with 47 assists, while junior Lyndi Johnson (Flower Mound, Texas) tallied 18 digs.

Natasha Koluniga and Devin Von Pingel led the way for the Trojans with 18 and 10 kills, respectively.

Next up, the Pioneers travel to Jonesboro, Ala., to take on the South Alabama Jaguars on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. MT.
