DU Volleyball Falls to Middle Tennessee, 3-0

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The University of Denver volleyball team fell 3-0 to Middle Tennessee (16-9, 12-1 SBC) on Saturday evening at Alumni Memorial Gym in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The Pioneers lost 25-19, 25-12 and 25-22 to slip to 10-14 overall, 7-6 in the SBC.

Junior Faimie Kingsley (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Pioneers with six kills and six blocks, while redshirt freshman Cassie Ronda (Chandler, Ariz.) chipped in five kills and two blocks. Junior Lyndi Johnson (Flower Mound, Texas) led the team defensively with eight digs, while redshirt senior Julia Cawthra (Lakewood, Colo.) finished with 21 assists and three blocks.

Ashley Adams led the way for the Blue Raiders with 10 kills and four blocks, while Maria Szivos contributed nine kills.

Next up, the Pioneers return home to host Arkansas-Little Rock on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in Hamilton Gymnasium. DU then hosts Arkansas State on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m.
