PROVO, Utah - No. 57 BYU defeated No. 48 Denver, 7-0, in men's tennis action Friday night at BYU Indoor Tennis Courts.
The Cougars improve to 5-0 at home and 6-4 overall with win. The Pioneers fall to 2-6 with their third straight loss.
After claiming the doubles point, Evan Urbina, Georgy Batrakov, Patrick Kawka, Thomas Shubert, Roman Warias and Michael Eraso posted singles wins for the Cougars.
Angel Alvarez (San Antonio, Texas) made his season debut for the Pioneers, who played without Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia), Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappeln, Germany) and Fabio Biasion (Velbert, Germany).
DU plays at Utah on Saturday, Feb. 26.
