Denver Gains Fourth Win

USAFA, Colo. - The University of Denver men's tennis team gained their fourth win of the season with a 6-1 win at Air Force Tuesday. Denver improves to 4-12 with the win, while Air Force falls to 9-7.

Denver won the doubles point when Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia) and Yannick Weihs (Guntramsdorf, Austria) saved two match points en route to the 9-7 clinching win at No. 2 doubles. Andrew Landwerlen (Las Cruces, N.M.) and Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappeln, Germany) won 9-8(7) in a thrilling match at No. 1 doubles.

Alex Clinkenbeard (Loveland, Colo.), Bonin, Weihs, Vorkefeld and Landwerlen each claimed singles wins in two sets each.

Denver returns to action at the Sun Belt Shootout on April 1-3.
