Former Pioneer Kofstad Finishes 21st at ECCO Tour Championship

Nimtofte, Denmark - Former University of Denver men's golfer Espen Kofstad finished 21st at the ECCO Tour Championship presented by Thomas Björn and Mercedes Benz in Nimtofte, Denmark.

Koftad finished at even par as weather shortened the tournament to 54 holes. The former Pioneer posted rounds of 73-68-75 (216) and was tied for 12th after 36 holes.

The tournament, a European Challenge Tour event was won by Daniel Denison of England who finished at eight under par (208).

The European Challenge Tour awards invitations to the top 20 finishers at the tour's end for the following season's European Tour events. Koftad is currently in 25th place with eight European Challenge Tour events remaining.

Kofstad won the 2009 Sun Belt Conference Tournament individual title as a junior at DU. He is second on Denver's all-time scoring average list with 72.36, second in rounds at par or better for a career at DU (71) and second in rounds played as a Pioneer (141).
