LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The University of Denver women's swimming and diving team defeated UNLV 152.5-146.5, but fell to No. 3 Arizona 204-86 at Buchanan Natatorium in Las Vegas, Nev., Saturday. On the men's side, the Pioneers lost to the Rebels 151-149 and to No. 11 Arizona 187-113.

"I'm really proud of our efforts top to bottom on the women's side," said head coach Brian Schrader. "Bridgette McNally had an excellent meet and we had excellent leadership from our seniors. We had some challenges with injury and illness, but we fought through it with a real team effort."
Freshman Kristyna Kolarova (Prague, Czech Republic) tallied a dual victory over UNLV with a time of 1:05.75 in the 100 Breaststroke, while senior Tia Totura (Castle Rock, Colo.) recorded a dual win over UNLV in the 200 Butterfly (2:04.42). "We had a few individual victories over Arizona that were really impressive," Schrader said. "Any time you can have swimmers record wins over a top-11 school, that's big. Dylan Bunch had some impressive wins, and so did Kyle Milberg."
